Sanders Specials This Week

Here are the specials this week at Sanders in downtown Grand Forks through the 28th. The prime rib of pork sounds amazing.

Japanese Clam Chowder
A light broth soup made with clam juice and seafood stock with shitake mushrooms, leeks, water chestnuts, and green onions.

Fried Shrimp with Mango Chutney

Cocktail shrimp dusted with flour and spices then fried and served over beurre blanc with our slightly spicy and sweet mango chutney.

Arugula Salad with Beets and Goat Cheese

Fresh Arugula tossed with balsamic vinaigrette and topped with roasted beets, avocado, goat cheese, toasted pecans, and sundried cranberries.
Seafood Lasagna
Our homemade lasagna is stuffed with shrimp, scallops, and blue crab along with fontina, ricotta, mozzarella and, parmesan cheeses.  A nice elegant Pinot Noir like the Argyle Willamette Valley Pinot is a great choice here.

Chicken Cacciatore
This Italian classic is made with our free range chicken braised in tomato sauce with mushrooms, onions, garlic, herbs and Marsala wine. La

Brasccesa Sabazio Rosso di Montepulciano is a Sangiovese based red from Tuscany that is lighter bodied and more fruit forward than some of its regional cousins making it a good pairing for this chicken and tomato sauce combination.
Prime Rib of Pork with Orange Chipotle Glaze
Prime rib of pork is roasted and served on the bone with a spicy glaze made with adobo sauce, orange juice and zest, and cider vinegar.  This dish ha
s some kick from the chipotle peppers so send Kung Fu Girl Riesling out to handle it!
