An original copy of the Titanic’s last lunch menu is on the auction block and is expected to fetch over $150,000.
The sale is being held by the auctioneers to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic on March 31.
The menu was saved by a passenger who tucked the menu into her handbag as a souvenir of their travels. She survived the wreck and the menu has stayed with the family ever since.
It includes salmon mayonnaise, eggs Argenteuil (eggs with fresh asparagus tips and cream sauce), grilled mutton chops, corned ox tongue and jacket potatoes.
Definitely not what you’d find on today’s cruise ships.
