While it isn’t technically summer for a few more weeks (although the recent heat sure feels like it) the summer menu at the Blue Moose in East Grand Forks is now available.
The restaurant isn’t afraid to change things up on the menu, which I like. They added tapas, or small plates, a while back. And there are regularly featured dishes you can find out about on their Facebook page. One recent feature was a roasted pork loin stuffed with feta, spinach, and Chorizo sausage.
Newly available on the summer menu are a peppercorn turkey croissant, pasta al fresco, key lime pie, “big bopper” burger, margherita pizza, and a Carolina smoky BBQ pork sandwich. I’m a sucker for both key lime pie and any pork product, so I’ll be trying those out soon.
And because we’re talking about the Blue Moose, I have to share this photo of the amazing mini mac appetizer they’ve got:
How good does that look? It was served to us piping hot and still bubbling away, just having been plucked from the oven. You’ve gotta try it.
