‘Noodles & Company’ Coming Along in GF

Noodles & Company will be opening a new location in south Grand Forks likely within the next two weeks, adding yet another food choice to the bustling 32nd Ave. S.

Snuggled right up against the Olive Garden and in the space that was once Grizzly’s, Noodles will share the new building with a Sprint store. Quite a bit of space was added to the building and it’s sort of a mini strip mall.

I snapped the picture above a few days ago before we got the recent snowfall. There’s still some work to be done, but it doesn’t look like too long and some job openings were posted in late September.

Also of note: An Erbert and Gerbert’s sandwich shop at the same location is listed as “coming soon” on the company’s website. Stay tuned for more.

I’ve been to other Noodles & Company locations a few times before and have found some very tasty dishes that are all prepared fresh right after you order. The menu spans the globe, with Asian, Mediterranean and American offerings.

You can get stuff like the truffle mac, Wisconsin mac and cheese, spaghetti and meatballs or mushroom stroganoff from the American side; Japanese pan noodles, pad Thai, Bangkok curry, Chinese chop salad or Thai curry soup on the Asian menu; or try penne rosa, pesto cavatappi, tomato basil bisque or whole grain Tuscan linguine from the Mediterranean side, among other options.

Above is the Japanese pan noodles I had a few weeks ago. The dish was great, with perfectly cooked, crunchy vegetables, tender marinated steak and udon noodles. And a while back I had a green curry soup that was fantastic.

I think Noodles will be wildly successful in Grand Forks. It’s in a perfect location for a quick and casual lunch. But don’t forget to hit up the Drunken Noodle and Little Bangkok in EGF.

What are you looking forward to trying once Noodles & Company opens up?

    • Hey Dustin, yeah the Erbert and Gerbert’s website lists a location in the same building as “coming soon.” Hopefully it’ll open soon after the Noodles & Company does.
